What is Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives?

Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives gives you the opportunity to work with, study and reflect on key global issues from a personal, local and global perspective. The subject is taught fully in English and aims at developing your skills in areas such as: research, analy-sing information, awareness of planning and outcome of your work, forming a sense of reasoning when handling different topics and to be critical when you gather information.

By doing that you will learn more about ways of working with different topics, collaborating with others and acquire skills that you will be able to transfer to other subject in your future studies.

In Global Perspectives you will be working with projects individually and in groups. During the year we will also work and com-municate with students/contacts in different parts of the world. Global Perspectives aims at extending your understanding of the world, and thereby prepare you for the role as a world-citizen.

Hvad er Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives?

Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives giver dig mulighed for at arbejde med, studere og reflektere over vigtige globale emner fra en personlig, lokal/national og global synsvinkel. Faget bliver undervist på engelsk og sigter ef-ter at udvikle dine evner indenfor blandt andet: research, at analysere information, bevidsthed om planlægning og resultat af dit arbejde, at udvikle en forståelse for at håndtere forskel-lige emner, samt at være kritisk under infor-mationssøgning.

På den måde vil du lære mere om alternative indgangsvinkler til forskellige emner, sam-arbejde med andre og udvikle evner som du kan overføre til andre fag under dine frem-tidige studier.

I Global Perspectives kommer du til at arbej-de med forskellige projekter både individuelt og som del af en gruppe. I løbet af året vil du også samarbejde og kommunikere med stu-derende/kontakter fra forskellige dele af ver-den. Global Perspectives søger at udvikle din forståelse af verden og dermed forberede dig til at være verdensborger.
